Our 2005 season got underway the beginning of April with unusually dry, warm weather at home in Minnesota. A lot of the crew got in that first week in April and because of the weather we decided to paint and freshen up the combine trailers. By the time it was said and done about all the combine trailers, header trailers, truck frames and rims had been sandblasted and painted, along with new combines setup, trucks serviced, mobile wash truck setup, driving tests taken, etc., etc. and finally load and go. Then May actually turned off cooler and wetter than normal, and it was 50-60 degrees F. when the crew left the yard, and 101 F. when they got into Texas!
